Endocrine Neoplasia Program
The Endocrine Neoplasia Program at the Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center is dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of the structural and hormonal symptoms of endocrine tumors. The program is the only one of its kind in Connecticut, and our uniquely experienced team of experts provides clinical services in the areas of thyroid cancer and thyroid nodules, other types of cancers and benign tumors of the adrenal glands, hyperparathyroidism, parathyroid tumors, and pituitary adenomas.
We perform diagnostic dynamic endocrine testing, nuclear medicine scanning, fine needle aspiration biopsy of the thyroid and adrenal glands, thyroid ultrasound, thyroid carcinoma testing with thyrogen-stimulated thyroglobulin and thyroid scanning, and invasive radiology interventions, including petrosal sinus sampling, adrenal vein sampling, and selective pancreatic calcium infusions.
Our specialists also perform bone density testing with DEXA scans to evaluate bone and mineral metabolism and often collaborate with orthopedic specialists.
When you visit with us, you will meet a team of dedicated healthcare professionals who offer the highest level of patient-centered care. Our electronic medical records, My Chart, allow you to directly contact your doctor with any questions or concerns.
